Defence Against a Half-Turning Kick


 
 

 

Set 1

Starting from an Open Stance guarding position / Back Stance.

Back kick or Reverse-Turning Kick, as the attacking kick is delivered.

Set 2

Starting from an Open Stance guarding position / Back Stance.

Shuffle backward, to remain out of range of the incoming kick.

Perform a 360º Half-Turning Kick to mid-section.

 

Set 3

"Ride" the attack, as you step forward on the Open side, locking off the leg with your nearest arm.

Pam heel strike as you sweep away the standing leg.
